Case sharing:

Mr X (45 years old) sought our help because he had been gaining weight dramatically. He put himself on ketogenic diet but the results were unsatisfactory. He could not lose his weight, but instead his body swelled up.
We arranged body check for him in 2015, we found the indexes below were beyond the normal ranges:

BMI                                         30.61 kg/m2   (normal Asian standard < 23)
Total Cholesterol                6.8 mmol/L   (normal range < 5.17)
Triglycerides                       3.83 mmol/L (normal range < 2.26)
Ultra sound Liver index    278 dB/m       (range of moderate fatty liver 266-295)
Liver Fibroscan index       7.8 kPa           (range on the edge of Fibrosis 7.4 - 9.7)

After understanding his body and liver condition, we suggested him stopping keto diet, reducing intake of meat. We also suggested him increasing intake of fruits, vegetables and water. We also suggested liver supportive and anti-oxidant supplements.

After 5 years, he did the body check again. He is very satisfied  becuase the indexes had much improviement:

BMI                                          23.6 kg/m2    (normal Asian standard < 23)
Total Cholesterol                 4.9 mmol/L  (normal range < 5.17)
Triglycerides                         1.9 mmol/L  (normal range < 2.26)
Ultrasound Liver index      209 dB/m       (no fatty liver)

Liver Fibrosis index               5.9 kPa           (within normal range)

Because Mr X's Cholesterol and Triglycerides index retored to normal, he can stop related medicines since then.
